EARLY CHILDHOOD PROGRAM

Developmental Preschool

Triality established its developmental preschool, Triality Tots, as a compliment to the Therapy project. It was through the therapy visits that Triality identified another need in the community. Families of children who are medically fragile or who have complex disabilities had nowhere to take their children during the day so they could work to meet the needs of their family. Unfortunately, parents of these very special children need the coverage of both parent’s insurance policies to help with the medical needs of their special child.

Triality Tots is an integrated preschool providing wrap-around child care to meet the needs of the families in our community. Triality Tots is unique to the Northland because of our educational focus while incorporating medical care and therapeutic interventions. A daily curriculum is provided by lead teachers who are certified through the State, and the children benefit from the low student-teacher ratios. Triality Tots uses the Creative Curriculum for its classroom curriculum and Conscious Discipline for classroom behavior managment.

The integrated setting is ideal for dispelling myths at a very young age. It is important for siblings of children with special needs to realize they are not alone, and it is important for typically developing children to experience the differences that make us all unique. Children with special needs are motivated and encouraged by their friends, while typically developing children practice friendship, patience and acceptance.

It is our hope that by fostering a nurturing and accepting environment, these children will help us achieve our vision of a society focused on the person rather than their disability.

Triality Tots hours are 6:30am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday. Click here to view the Triality Tots Family Handbook.

  • Teachers are encouraged to further their professional development through access to an on-site resource library and weekly team building meetings.
